President Ann Wrobbel called the Village Council to order at 6:00pm

Pledge to the flag was recited

Roll call: Ann Wrobbel-present, Kim Wernette-present, Melissa Lazzaro-present, Colleen Beemer-present, Alice Ray-absent

Minutes of Regular Meeting August 1st, 2023 were presented

Kim Wernette made a motion seconded by Colleen Beemer to accept minutes as written, roll call-all ayes, motion passes

Public Comment: None

Ann Wrobbel read the President’s Report:  The John St Garage needs a new roof, Kevin will get some quotes, need to schedule the closing of Bromley Park well by the end of September.

Ann Wrobbel made a motion seconded by Alice Ray to approve all bills, expenses and payroll, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Melissa Lazzaro read the Clerk’s Report: Melissa reviewed the budget amendments recommended at the Budget Workshop.

Kim Wernette made a motion seconded by Colleen Beemer to make the recommended budget amendments, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Kim Wernette read the Treasurer’s report:  Council received a check register and deposit detail, Kim read bank balances

Ann Wrobbel made a motion seconded by Colleen Beemer to accept the Treasurers Report, roll call-all yeses, Alice Ray-absent, motion passes

John Fribley read the Enforcement Officer Report: Mr. Fribley is still making contact with residents and things are slowly getting cleaned up, but he will continue working on cleaning things up.

Kim Wernette read the Cemetery Report: Kim sold another plot; Mike and the Community Service Worker have the cemetery looking great.

Colleen Beemer read Pine Tree Park Report: September 9th is the last horseshoe tournament, the well has been installed, waiting on a hand pump, banners will be down by the end of September.

 Bromley Park Report:

Alice Ray read Pocket Park and Research & Information: Nothing new

Community Activity Report: Kim applied for a scrap tire grant, will know more in the spring, Trash Day went well.

The Village will be taking bids for snow plowing and snow removal, due by September 28, 2023 and will be addressed at the October Meeting.

Looking for boulders to use as a barrier at Bromley Park to stop people from parking on the grass

Ann Wrobbel made a motion seconded by Kim Wernette to accept the quote from Republic Services for trash removal, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Team Mecosta would like to have a softball tournament in town on the 4th of July next year

Kevin Stevens read the Street Commissioner report: Kevin will get quotes for the roof on John St garage, Kevin and Bubba are getting ready to re mortar the Memorial at the cemetery and the VFW plaque has been installed, Bubba would like to fertilize the ball field in the Fall.
