Regular Meeting Minutes

President Ann Wrobbel was running late, Kim Wernette called the Village Council to order at 6:00pm

Pledge to the flag was recited

Roll call: Ann Wrobbel-present, Kim Wernette-present, Melissa Lazzaro-present, Colleen Beemer-present, Alice Ray-present

Minutes of Regular Meeting July 1, 2024, were presented

Kim Wernette made a motion seconded by Colleen to accept minutes with correction, roll call-all ayes, motion passes

Public Comment: Linda Howard-not much going on in the County, adjusting to new County Administrator

Ann Wrobbel read the Presidents Report: Special Land Use Permit for Farm Animals for a resident with 19 acres

Kim Wernette made a motion seconded by Ann Wrobbel to allow a special land use permit for up to 20 cows and 3 horses, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Kim Wernette made a motion seconded by Colleen Beemer to approve all bills, expenses, and payroll, roll call-all yeses,  motion passes

Melissa Lazzaro read the Clerks Report: Melissa presented Council with a current budget,

Kim Wernette made a motion seconded by Colleen Beemer to allow Melissa to make necessary budget amendments, roll call-all yeses, Alice Ray absent, motion passes

Kim Wernette read the Treasurer’s report:  Kim read the bank balances, and presented Council with the check register, received check from Trayer’s for well, ordered new printer for office

Ann Wrobbel made a motion seconded by Colleen Beemer to accept the Treasurers Report, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

John Fribley read the Ordinance Report: John was absent

Kim Wernette read the Cemetery Report: Sold 3 plots in August

Colleen Beemer read Pine Tree Park Report: Saturday August 10th is 2nd annual Hercules Softball Tournament, all proceeds go back to Pine Tree Park, A dog put a hole in the new tetherball, dog owner apologized and replaced the ball. Blue had his lemonade stand on the 4th of July again and donated $75 to the fireworks fund

Bromley Park Report: Nothing at this time

Alice Ray read Research & Information: Nothing at this time

Alice Ray read Pocket Park: Nothing at this time

Community Activity Report:  Tire grant date has been changed to September 21st, will be open to Morton Township residents as well as Village residents

Kim made a motion seconded by Ann Wrobbel to move forward with plaque for the Smith’s, Ann & Ron Wrobbel are donating a podium to put the plaque on in Bromley Park, roll call-all yeses, motion passes

Kevin Stevens read the Street Commissioner report: Blacktop is done, will be working on potholes, and will be ordering gravel

Public Comment:

Ann Wrobbel made a motion seconded by Kim Wernette to adjourn, roll call-all ayes, Alice Ray absent, motion passes
