Regular Meeting Minutes
President Ann Wrobbel called the Village Council to order at 6:00pm
Pledge to the flag was recited
Roll call: Ann Wrobbel-present, Kim Wernette-present, Melissa Lazzaro-present, Colleen Beemer-present, Alice Ray-present, Kevin Stevens-present, Charles Smith-present, John Fribley-present
Minutes of Regular Meeting December 2, 2024, were presented
Kim Wernette made a motion seconded by Colleen Beemer to accept minutes as is, roll call-all ayes, motion passes
Public Comment: County Commissioner Mr. Zimmerman introduced himself
Ann Wrobbel read the Presidents Report: Nothing at this time
Kim Wernette made a motion seconded by Ann Wrobbel to pay General Fund bills with check #11324-11333 & EFTs for $10,956.25, Covid-19 Fund with check #2516 for $1,365.00, Major Road Fund with check# 2115 for $5,000.00, for a total of $17,321.25, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
Melissa Lazzaro read the Clerks Report: Melissa will be doing due to’s, equipment rental, 941 and State Taxes on Thursday, and will have an accurate budget next month
Kim Wernette read the Treasurer’s report: Bank balances as of 12/31/2024: General Fund: $32,407.64, Asset Fund: $28,938.02, Banner Fund: $3056.94 Community Promotion Fund: $5,367.75, Fireworks Fund: $215.70, Local Road Fund: $93,306.18, Major Road Fund: $115,875.19
Alice Ray made a motion seconded by Colleen Beemer to accept the Treasurers Report, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
John Fribley read the Ordinance Report: The Village is looking good with very few violations seen while driving around the Village. He sent a letter to 300 N Webber St. about junk and unlicensed and/or junk motor vehicles in the yard and that it needed to be cleaned up. Letter to 335 Main St. about junk in the yard again and that it needed to get cleaned up. Sent a citation to 837 W Moore St. for violation of Village Ordinance keeping chickens in the village limit. The court date for this citation is January 9, 2025.

Community Activity Report: Next activity will be Easter
Bubba has a community service worker, they will be taking down Christmas lights, take care of a fallen tree in Pine Tree Park, and a little bit of work in cemetery
Kevin Stevens read the Street Commissioner report: Need a new salt spreader
Kim Wernette made a motion seconded by Colleen Beemer to purchase a salt spreader for up to $500.00, roll call-all yeses, motion passes
Public Comment: Linda reminded everyone about the Mecosta Revitalization Meeting Wednesday at the Library at 10 am, requested council put out financial information for the public, asked about the progress of the bar
